Insomniac Whovian 25th April - 1st May

The fan-films were fun. As were Blink and The Time of Angels. But, what have I planned for this week? Well, I call this "THE INVASION OF THE WEEK". All stories will be about invasions.

25th April: The Dalek Invasion of Earth (First Doctor)
26th April: The Invasion (Episodes 1-4) (Second Doctor)
27th April: The Invasion (Episodes 5-8) (Second Doctor)
28th April: Invasion of the Dinosaurs (6 episodes) (Third Doctor)
29th April: The Android Invasion (4 episodes) (Fourth Doctor)
30th April: The Christmas Invasion (1 60-minute episode) (Tenth Doctor)
See you then! And, of course, May 1st will be Flesh and Stone. I'll write to the BBC to see if they can change the title to Invasion of the Angels. I doubt it.

Insomniac Whovian 18th - 24th April

You're gonna hate me. It's SPIN-OFF WEEK for Insomniac Whovian. I know what you're thinking. "Oh, that's not bad. Bit of Torchwood, Sarah-Jane, K-9 and Company... that's not bad at all"

Oh, you're so wrong. It's a bunch of unofficial Doctor Who spin-offs featuring loads of the Doctor Who cast. The list below features the various YouTube links...

18th: Shakedown: The Return of the Sontarans (1995) - a 70 minute drama featuring Sontarans attacking a solar-yacht. Stars a number of Doctor Who companions such as Carole Ann Ford (Susan Foreman) and Sophie Aldred (Ace)... but.. not as those characters. Confusingtastic!

19th: PROBE: The Zero Imperative (1994) - 60 minutes, written by Mark Gatiss. Featuring Caroline John as Liz Shaw. So, surely this is a legit spin-off! It even features John Pertwee, Sylvester McCoy and Colin Baker as The Doctors. Not that Doctor though. Three different doctors. So, yes. Highly confusing.

20th: PROBE: The Devil of Winterbourne (1995) - 60 minutes, written by Mark Gatiss. Features Peter Davison as Definitely Not The Doctor.

21st: PROBE: Unnatural Selection (1996) - 60 minutes, written by Mark Gatiss. Features Geoffrey Beevers this time. He played The Master once.

22nd: PROBE: Ghosts of Winterbourne (1996) - 60 minutes. Features Peter Davison again. As Not The Doctor.

23rd: To make up for lack of "proper" Who stories, the 23rd will be "Prepare for The Time of Angels". I'm watching the Blink and the Silence in the Library two-parter, preparing us for..

24th: The Time of Angels

Huzzah!

Insomniac Whovian: 12th- 17th April

Looking forward to Victory of the Daleks, this week will be "... of the Daleks" week!

12th: Day of the Daleks (Third Doctor)
13th: Genesis of the Daleks (Fourth Doctor)
14th: Revelation of the Daleks (Fifth Doctor)
15th: Resurrection of the Daleks (Sixth Doctor)
16th: Remembrance of the Daleks (Seventh Doctor)
17th: Victory of the Daleks (Eleventh Doctor)
At one point, there will be a SURPRISE recap of Daleks in Manhatten/Evolution of the Daleks, but I've no idea when that will be.

Insomniac Whovian: 4th - 10th April

Hello, and welcome to the shoddy blog template of Insomniac Whovian. The premise of this is that every night (as early as 11pm and as late as 3am), I will be watching and livetweeting Doctor Who episodes. They can be any story, any Doctor, any series. You can follow the tweets on http://www.twitter.com/I_Whovian and, of course, you can join in.

Each week is usually themed. This week (4th - 10th April) is Master Week. Last night was Terror of the Autons, and this is the schedule for the rest of the week:

5th The Deadly Assassin
6th The Keeper of Traken
7th The King’s Demons
8th The Mark of the Rani
9th Survival
So, if you fancy joining in... do! I can't stress that enough.
